In the mid-1800's, Colden became known for its mills which manufactured washing machines, spinning wheels, ironing boards and shingles. Today, visitors can shop at the famous Colden Country Store and enjoy a meal at the Old Mill Restaurant. Colden is also home to a number of ski resorts, including Kissing Bridge and Ski Tamarack.
